The Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999) is the federal government's principal legislation to protect the environment and human health. It provides the legislative framework for the Chemical Management Plan. Sections 333 to 341 pertain to Boards of Review.
Section 341 of CEPA 1999 grants the Minister of the Environment the discretion to make rules that govern Boards of Review. The Rules of Procedure for Boards of Review came into force in January 2003.
